CATATUMBO was reserved early on the outside, advanced four to five wide on the turn, came seven wide into the lane and closed well on the outside to get up late to prove best, driving. MR. PENNY PINCHER stalked the pace and made a three wide bid on the turn and was clear by the furlong marker, then dug in nearing the sixteenth marker but could not hold off the winner while racing gamely. AZURE SKY was rated along early, advanced three to four wide on the turn, made a four wide bid leaving the turn and loomed boldly by the furlong marker but was outfinished in the final sixteenth. ACTION SEEKER dueled for the lead on the inside and weakened in the final furlong. COURT AND SPARK dueled for the lead to the outside of ACTION SEEKER, made a two wide bid to gain a short lead by the three eighths marker, then vied for command in between rivals leaving the turn but weakened in the final furlong. COX CANYON was taken back early, two wide on the turn and swung out six wide leaving the turn but had no rally. OCEAN OF STORMS was settled early, three to four wide on the turn and stopped.
