WORDS OF FORTUNE broke well then tracked BUT NOW AM FOUND through the initial stages then moved to challenge that rival for the lead approaching the three furlong marker with RIDING A DREAM also moving up on the outside, made light contact with RIDING A DREAM near the eighth pole then drifted out and made contact twice with that foe inside the sixteenth under left handed urging and just held. K PAZ settled well back off the pace then had to be coaxed to hold position down the backstretch, was making some progress through the turn then encountered some traffic approaching the quarter pole, responded when sent through an opening at the top of the stretch and finished up well under strong handling and just missed. NERVANA tracked outside of the second group then ran on under a drive with three furlongs to run, kept to task and produced a grinding finish, was steadily gaining in the late stages but came up short. RIDING A DREAM away well, tracked just behind pacesetter early, bid three wide leaving the seven-sixteenths pole and vied for the lead through the turn, loomed a big threat at the top of the stretch, made some contact with WORDS OF FORTUNE in mid-stretch, then had that rival come out and bump twice, steadied near the wire. BUZZSAW raced in the middle of the second flight, launched a bid from the three furlong marker, advanced a three wide through the turn then finished willingly but was not good enough. EMPEROR D'ORO hustled hard to join the early pace battle, raced inside to the seven-sixteenths pole then started a steady fade from that point and was not a factor late. BUT NOW AM FOUND rushed up from the inside to grab the lead before going a furlong, battled back when best by a pair of challengers at the three furlong pole, held well to mid stretch then gave way readily inside the final furlong. PRINCESS HONOR broke with the pack then dropped back rapidly while climbing down the backstretch, went three to five wide through the turn and was finished with some interest but much too late. VIRGIN ISLAND NICE devoid of speed from the break, was distanced early but kept to task and beat one to the wire. LITTLE PATITO lacked any early speed and was well behind the field down the backstretch, tried to run on from the half-mile pole but stalled early and struggled the rest of the trip.
