NOTABLE EXCHANGE hopped and was off slowly, recovered then was well placed while three wide approaching the turn, chased two to three wide and between foes nearing the quarter pole, angled out in the stretch then bid at the furlong marker, vied for the lead between runners into the final sixteenth, was game while in tight late and got up in the final strides for a determined win. SECURITYLIGHTNING tracked the early pace from outside of runners, went up and pressed the pace two wide into the turn, took command leaving the quarter pole then drifted out into upper stretch, led to the furlong grounds then continued to drift into the final sixteenth, was all out in deep stretch and was bested for the win, while holding for the place. BLUE OPAL was crowded at the start and off slowly, settled off of the moderate early pace, rallied four then five wide into the lane, loomed into the final sixteenth, was bumped and taken off stride in deep stretch then was outfinished by the top two, while well clear of the rest. SIGNATURE COCKTAIL showed good early speed and assumed command, set a moderate pace from the inside to the quarter marker, came under pressure into the stretch, battled to the furlong grounds then faded. GOSHAKI GOSHAKI broke out at the start and crowded a neighboring foe, settled off of the early pace, advanced three to four wide along the turn, could not sustain that run into the stretch and flattened out. LA GATA SALVAJE stalked the moderate pace from the inside, was well placed to the turn, chased into the stretch and tired in the final furlong. GOGO BOOTS raced close up to the early pace while between runners, lost position into the turn then stopped in upper stretch. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE DEEP STRETCH RUN. THE STEWARDS RULED SECURITYLIGHTNING DRIFTED IN DEEP STRETCH AND IMPEDED BOTH NOTABLE EXCHANGE AND BLUE OPAL. SECURITYLIGHTNING WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED THIRD.
