SKIPPYLONGSTOCKING lunged a bit at the break, went up in hand to press MOST WANTED on the first turn, stuck with that rival to the five sixteenths and went up to engage that rival and came three wide off the bend, stuck his head in front by the furlong marker and slowly edged away to prove best under a drive, new track record. MOST WANTED set a pressured pace on the inside, then dueled for command by the quarter pole and dug in gamely in the stretch but could not match strides in the final furlong while being clearly second best. INSTANT COFFEE was allowed to settle early, two wide on the far turn and came four wide into the lane and bested the other rival while no match to top two. EL PRINCIPITO was well placed on the inside and dropped back after five furlongs and tired.
