Footnotes
SILVER SLUGGER was prominent early just off the leader, moved forward from outside to force the issue taking a narrow lead at the half, went three wide on the turn edging toward a more pronounced command midway on that bend, kicked clear under urging and held safe. LASER SHARP was bumped and pinched back at the start, allowed to settle, advanced some in behind and outside three to four wide on the turn, angled six wide at the top of the stretch with aim on the leader, could not reach that one but was clearly second best. BIG LOUIE was bumped just after the start, chased from inside through the turn, came out three then four wide turning for home and within range of the leader, could make no headway but kept on to hold show honors. CANTARO was outpaced in the early going, raced off the rail on the turn swinging seven deep into upper stretch, improved position outside. AMERICAN WARRIOR had several bumps at and just after the start steadying slightly in the process, was outrun in the early going, saved ground on the turn advancing mildly, sought room in upper stretch and was guided out several paths at that juncture, ran on. DITHER had some bumps at the start but was still forwardly-positioned stalking the leading trio into the turn, went four wide on that bend, was put to urging coming into upper stretch and within striking distance but flattened out. SNOWNAME had a narrow early lead but faced pressure from inside and outside rivals, steadied between foes runners leaving the backstretch, floated six wide turning for home and offered no late bid. EE YAH stumbled and exchanged bumps at the start, vied inside, asked to keep pace coming to the quarter while losing ground on the eventual winner, was empty in the drive. SONG RUNNER bumped a rival at the start, advanced mildly outside runners five wide early on the turn, floated eight wide leaving that bend while backing up, faded thereafter.
