IT'S A FACT tucked in early saving ground on the first turn, was guided out past the three-quarter, advanced outside four wide on the far turn, fought on in the stretch a bit wider still and got the nod. KARTANO settled well back inside, moved out and was still far back while off the rail on the far turn, rallied four wide in the stretch improving between runners late in a blanket finish. HAPPYISASHAPPYDOES came in a bit at the start but was quick to lead shifting in but setting the pace just off the rail, was challenged leaving the far turn, fought on gamely in the lane but was denied. LUCKY CURLIN settled off the pace racing just off the rail, advanced near the inside late on the far turn, angled out past the quarter pole bothering an outside foe, moved between foes at the top of the stretch. THE BEST DISTANCE was well-placed pursuing the pace from outside mostly three to four wide, took closer order on the far turn, checked sharply between runners coming to the top of the stretch as a rival came out and bumped, recovered after and kept on well late. CATTIN was forced in a bit at the start, raced off the inside mostly three to four deep, was not a threat. Q F SEVENTY FIVE was forced in at the break, settled at the back, had very much to do entering the far turn but began to pick it up and advanced outside four to five wide on that bend, floated eight wide turning into upper stretch, could not sustain the effort in the drive and flattened out. MILLENNIUM CONDO was forwardly-positioned chasing three wide, shifted in up the backstretch while dropping back, faded. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AS WELL AS OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF THE BEST DISTANCE AGAINST BOTH LUCKY CURLIN AND IT'S A FACT ALLEGING INTERFERENCE AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH, LUCKY CURLIN WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FOURTH AND PLACED FIFTH BEHIND THE BEST DISTANCE.
