SUMMER CAUSE broke just a hair slow, raced keenly in hand along the inside, trailed into the far turn, swung six wide leaving the far turn, stormed to the front midstretch and drew clear from ROYAL LUCK (CHI) late. ROYAL LUCK (CHI) got floated out by RETOUCH (FR) into the clubhouse turn, steered back inside trailing the field, asked three wide on the far turn, angled five wide leaving the bend, rallied in tandem with SUMMER CAUSE and got outclosed by that rival in deep stretch. RETOUCH (FR) broke out a bit, tucked inside at the back, drifted out into the first turn, moved up close outside rivals on the backstretch, bid four deep with a quarter mile remaining, could not match strides with the top pair in the final furlong but was able to best the rest. DRAMA CHORUS dueled from inside then inched ahead around the clubhouse turn, dueled leaving the backstretch, vied inside rivals around the far turn, resisted to the eighth pole, then flattened to fourth. E MINOR stalked three deep in the early going, bid outside the top pair at the seven-sixteenths pole, fought three wide into the lane and weakened. MAGICAL MARRIAGE stalked along the fence, hugged the rail to the stretch and lacked a rally. I'M ON FIRE stalked in the two path, chased between rivals, had to wait two then three wide on the far turn, got crowded a bit at the eighth pole and failed to rally. TATANKA dueled from outside then pressed the leader in the early going, moved up on even terms again leaving the backstretch, fought between runners through the far turn, yielded in upper stretch and weakened.
