DELIGHTFUL DIXIE attended the pace three deep to the turn, dueled from outside with a quarter mile remaining, put a head in front in upper stretch, drove clear midstretch and was kept busy to the wire. THEE NEW BEGINNING dueled inside LOVIELEE to the turn, inched head from a pair of rivals on the turn, dueled with DELIGHTFUL DIXIE at the quarter pole, yielded to that rival midstretch and stayed on to secure second. EUPHIMA (ARG) stalked the top trio from inside, came off the fence a bit entering the lane, finished willingly through the final furlong but failed to get by THEE NEW BEGINNING for second. GO GO STAR chased outside rivals or four wide into the turn, coaxed along while moving into the three path around the bend and could not produce a bid down the lane. CHILLING FACTOR sat off the pace in the early going keeping off the rail, angled into the two path early on the bend, steered back out and came four wide into the stretch but failed to threaten from there. LOVIELEE dueled outside a rival while between foes early, fought to the five-sixteenths pole, yielded to the top pair with a quarter mile remaining and faded down the lane. TRIPLET stalked outside a rival into the turn, got shuffled behind a weakening LOVIELEE on the turn while boxed in with nowhere to go, finally angled to the inside for a clear path and had little left for the stretch run. WHISPERING SEA lacked early quickness, trailed well off the rail then angled into the two path early on the turn, came back out to race four wide into the lane and was never a factor.
