SECRET EMPIRE vied inside a trio of rivals to the turn, cleared around the bend, met the bid from GUAIO in upper stretch, dug in while drifting out slightly from left handed urging and held gamely to the wire. GUAIO stalked the top quarter from inside to the turn, shifted into the two path around the bend, took aim entering the stretch, drew alongside the leader in upper stretch, battled through the final furlong but got denied. KHOOLZAN fought for the lead three deep between rivals, chased after SECRET EMPIRE in the two path between foes around the bend, churned on down the lane and held third. WHISKEY OR WINE stalked the top quartet up the backstretch from off the rail, was ridden along three then four wide on the turn and could not answer the call down the lane. ORTHO STAR vied four deep to the turn, chased three deep or three wide around the bend and weakened. SHARP PLAY BOY vied between rivals up the backstretch, got crowded entering the turn, dropped back around the bend and tired.
