ROAD MINISTER off slow to begin, traveled near the back in the early going, went two wide into the turn, was on the move while easing out to the four path around the bend, reeled in the top trio midstretch and drove clear. POINT LIAM away quickly then chased three deep to the turn, drew closer in the three path outside a rival on the turn, bid three deep in the furlong grounds, got outkicked by the winner late and edged MYSTIC LUTE for second. MYSTIC LUTE sprinted clear keenly in hand, opened up a comfortable lead up the backstretch, showed the way with a diminished lead through the far turn, remained untested to the eight pole, then got confronted by outer rivals in the final furlong and yielded late. RUSSIAN HAMMER chased between rivals early, drew closer in the two path on the turn, bid between rivals midstretch and flattened in the final sixteenth. HAY MOON chased from off the pace, took the turn two wide and failed to rally. JADES JAY tracked four deep early, chased four then three wide around the bend and weakened. SEVERANCE bumped with outer rival at the start, bumped with same foe again and got crowded between rivals, dropped back to last, lagged behind along the rail to the stretch and passed a tired rival. LETMEKNOWBEFOREUGO bumped leaving the gate, bumped with SEVERANCE not too long after that, chased inside a trio of rivals early, lost ground through the turn and tired in the lane.
