BOY O' BOY set a pressured pace inside, dueled up the backstretch, turned away the first dueling partner but was thereupon joined by another outside foe, dug in and held that rival at bay. G SPEEDY was caught wide early but eased back a bit and shifted in three deep for the first turn, settled to stalk mid-pack, advanced three to four wide on the far turn drawing nearly even past the quarter pole, lugged in while contending for the lead near the eighth pole, was held off and second best. I'M NO ANGEL was urged at the start, gained position mid-pack off the inside, came out in upper stretch, kept on to get up for show. VINO SANTO moved forward but was caught four wide early, engaged the leader to prompt the pace up the backstretch, dueled with that rival through the far turn, weakened in the stretch. DAVID H settled off the pace racing just off the inside, came out four to five wide for the stretch run, failed to rally. MICKELEENE was at the rear two to three wide early and passed some tired rivals. MY LITTLE CAIBO raced inside early, failed to menace. NICE AND GOOD showed very brief speed among the early leaders but soon dropped back, failed to rally. WOODELLA was on or just off the rail and not a factor. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
