Footnotes
JUNIOR HOT SHOT was away well to have a slim lead on the inside down the backstretch, set the fractions on the turn while hounded outside throughout, spurted clear when encouraged at the top of the lane, drifted out late when asked left handed but was clear enough at the finish line to garner the victory. GIANT TEDDY was content to sit outside flanking the frontrunner along the backside, continued in hand pressuring on the outside on the turn, was set down looking to be the only one to threaten at the top of the lane, could not go with the winner by mid-stretch and managed to hold for the runners up share by a diminishing margin at the wire. SIGILOSO stalked three deep close to the back outside foes in the early going, was hard ridden outside another horse chasing the front duo on the turn and finished up mildly in deep stretch to make it interesting for the place share in the end. ROAR OF THE CROWD stalked outside in mid-division down the backside, was inside a challenger but could not make any headway on the lead pair around the bend and weakened in the three path with runners on either side by the furlong pole. LUCKY ROMANCE settled on the rail in midfield, could not maintain inside rail position when going into the turn, was shuffled back to be in last with five sixteenths to go and finished with some interest on the rail just losing the nod for the minors. MOON LANDING was allowed to settle at the back of the pack in the beginning, offered a mild turn of foot passing a rival in midturn, had little left for the drive and emptied out in the stretch.
