Footnotes
LUCKY GUEST was hustled after the start to take command into the backside, spurted away from the chasing rival outside when nudged to go on at the quarter pole and was kept to the task in mid-stretch to hold comfortably for the front running score. WILLIAM T missed the break to begin, pulled the rider while under a snug hold to sit a few lengths behind the leader at the half, kept pace while saving ground on the turn and finished up well enough to best the rest when crossing the finish line. GARDEN OF WAR was content to sit outside the stablemate down the back straight, continued to flank the leader outside on the turn, was asked for more at the quarter pole but could not close in on the winner, dueled for the runners up share outside in the stretch but settled for a clear third in the end. COPPER GHOST had a slow start to trail the field on the break, began to pick up runners inside with two furlongs left to run, shifted out to be in the four path turning for home, ran on with energy and finished strongly with a solid effort considering the hampered start. NAUGHTY FROSTY kept a close eye four deep on the lead pair in the early stages, moved in closer when urged three wide on the outside midway around the bend but could not get involved in the three path running down the lane to the finish line. WAGSTAFF hopped at the start, settled near the rear ahead of a couple foes in the three path between horses down the back straight, was roused at the five sixteenths pole making little impact and lacked a stretch rally inside foes to the wire. SOMEKINDA MISCHIEF stalked between horses along the backside, was in tight quarters having to be checked out at the three furlong marker losing all momentum, trailed on the turn and could not recover to play a role in the stretch running.
