EARHART (FR) cruised to the lead soon after the start, was let out a notch off the fence with three eighths remaining to increase the advantage around the bend, opened up at will while not set down at the top of the stretch and was geared down for the easy winner in the last sixteenth of a mile. GAL IN A RUSH was void of early speed to trail the field after the break, improved smartly on the rail at the half getting better inside position going into the turn, followed the front-end winner through the bend, ran on willingly to best the rest to the finish line but could not match strides with the overpowering winner in the stretch run. MS. TART chased in the two path with runners on each side down the backstretch, dropped back a touch through the running on the turn and stubbornly came back on inside horses to be a clear third at the finish. STAR CANDY travelled four deep near the rear on the outside in the beginning, could see the field with a half mile to run, starting to go around foes three to four wide on the turn, angled out widest with clear run in the four path in upper stretch and finished up even paced for a minor placing in the end. TICKER TAPE HOME kept a close eye on the pacesetter in the three path along the back straight, chased but to no avail on the outside around the oval, shifted out in the three path for the drive to the wire but retreated between runners at the furlong marker.
