KID FORESTER was allowed to settle at the back of the pack at the half mile marker, began to pick up foes inside around the midpoint through the turn, shifted out widest in the five path full of run in upper stretch, took control up front leaving the furlong marker and while drifting in through the final furlong just managed to hold on from the rival on the fence who was closing in sharply. BET N WIN sat alone in midfield down the backside, drafted comfortably just behind the engaged pair with five sixteenths to go, waited to move looking for a seam three wide entering the stretch, darted to the rail surging at the eighth pole and just missed getting up at the wire. HEY CUE had a good spot sitting off the top pair down the backside, closed in on the engaged duo when roused on the turn three wide, loomed menacingly in the for path with runners on either side straightening out for home but could not quicken with the top pair who had more in reserve in the final stages. HICKSY applied mild pressure to the pacesetter while inside down the back straight, moved in at the three eighths pole to force the issue on the rail around the bend, had a brief lead in the two path at the top of the lane, could not hold position to the wire and faded in mid-stretch holding for a minor placing in the end. ERNIE'S MARTINI hopped at the break to trail early on, narrowed the margin on the leaders but lost position while going three wide around the turn, shifted out five wide for the drive to the wire but had no finish to offer. STYLISH GENT while in hand seized command from the outside along the backside, was headed inside dueling up top throughout the turn, continued to try to fight on while still in the mix between horses three wide at the top of the stretch, had little left late and stopped in the final furlong.
