PATCHES O'HOULIHAN broke sharply and quickly moved clear, set the pace inside, was put to vigorous hand urging at the top of the stretch, responded to extend the advantage and was kept to the task. FILO DI ARIANNA (BRZ) settled tracking inside, moved out and was asked to go after the leader coming past the quarter pole, was no match for that one but clearly second best. I'M A GAMBLER (IRE) broke in the air, settled into stride at the rear, saved ground on the turn, steadied just slightly past the quarter pole, came out late, secured show while no threat to the top pair. IRONSTONE broke a step slowly, settled outside at the back, angled out passing the quarter pole while trying to advance between foes, came into upper stretch five wide, ran on. FLAG OF HONOUR (AUS) was forwardly-placed early racing up close between foes two to three deep, failed to rally. RUNNIN' ROCKET pursued the pace from outside going three to four wide on the turn, dropped back and faded.
