Footnotes
STORMY OCEAN forced the pace on the rail along the backside, poked her head in front on the fence at the half with the field strung out, edged away up top through the turn to have a comfortable advantage when turning for home and finished up slowly down the lane but had no challengers in sight to threaten in the late stages. SCARY BOO was off a step slow to settle inside running in mid-division down the backstretch, started to commence a rally when shifting out off a rival at the quarter pole, loomed the only threat four wide at the top of the lane, could not get to the winner and finished up on the rail easily besting the others for the runners up share. POWAQA travelled on the outside of another rival in midfield down the backstretch, made little impression throughout the turn, shifted out to the four path straightening out for the drive and ran on willingly to the wire to win the duel for the show award. ECLIPTICAL LADYBUG missed the break to trail by many in the early going, began to pick up the bit outside passing a foe outside in midturn and while in the two path down the stretch had late energy battling inside for the show award but had to settle for a minor role in the end. HOULIHAN maintained a slim lead outside in the early going, had company inside going head-to-head at the half, could not keep up to the winner while hard ridden with five sixteenths from home, tried to hold for the place share three wide in upper stretch but wilted in the final sixteenth. NO VISOR had a good spot, isolated watching the contesting pair at the half, was urged to go after the leaders at the quarter pole saving ground but with little response and had no rally on the fence down the lane. SIX FOR A NINE had a stalking position outside a rival down the back straight, backed away to be at the rear travelling around the bend and could not factor in the stretch running.
