Footnotes
CINNAMON BITS was smartly throttled down on the rail from the early mix to watch the speed duel down the backside, patiently bided her time, appearing to have horse on the fence around the bend, shifted out to the four path bursting through rivals turning for home and tenaciously wore down the leader late for the victory. PRINCESSONAMISSION broke inwards to begin, kept a close eye on the leader while just back four deep down the backside, cruised around foes in hand three wide through the turn, seized command by the quarter pole and ran on well to the wire but gave way grudgingly in the final few strides. GATHER was allowed to settle on the rail at the rear, made little progression on the fence behind horses on the bend, moved in inside in upper stretch, switched off the dueling lead group five wide at the eighth pole, finished up strongly late but could not get to the top two in time and finished a clear third when crossing the wire. MOET MONET broke out on the start, had a good spot drafting behind the front quintet in the early stages, closed in three wide midpoint of the bend, shifted out in the five path with the eventual winner right inside at the top of the lane, could not threaten late but did fight on to win the battle for the minors. STERLING HEIGHTS was in tight at the start, prompted the pace three wide between horses down the back straight, poked her head in front for a moment midturn between rivals, battled for a small piece of the prize in the two path in upper stretch and had little left nearing the wire, fading between foes very late. SECRET GIZMO emerged from the group to have a clear advantage on the fence by the half, dueled inside narrowly up top early through the turn, was collared outside with five sixteenths to go offering little resolve and wilted on the rail by mid-stretch. HELANA pressed the issue with runners on each side down the backstretch, inched up in the turn to bid between foes at the five sixteenths pole, could not match strides with the outside flow by the quarter pole and flattened out three wide in upper stretch. DADDY'S DAISY stalked three deep near the rear outside, made a brief turn of foot in the three path outside foes midway around the bend, shifted out widest in the six path for the drive to the wire but made little presence in the stretch running.
