SHARP FLAME was allowed to settle on the inside at the back of the pack into the first turn, made little improvement down the backside, saved ground on the far turn staring to get into gear with a quarter mile to run, angled out in mid-stretch under left handed encouragement finding his best stride late and passed many rivals to get the win in the late stages. MORAL TURPITUDE was in the two path vying for the front at the start, angled in to take the rail entering the first turn just behind the pacesetter, settled in mid-pack inside at the half, edged up, taking the short way around the last bend, scraped paint to get a brief lead at the seventy yard pole but could not fend off the late surge by the winner on the far outside late. CARDIO PRINCESS (JPN) was nestled on the rail in the mix early on, had to be snatched up for a moment losing the inside position going into the initial bend, took closer order outside down the backstretch to be in midfield, commenced a run, circling three wide at the quarter pole, loomed in the four path at the top of the stretch to be in the thick of things with a sixteenth left to go but was no match for the top two late, gave way and just saved for the show money at the finish. DREAMS AND SCHEMES travelled three wide on the first turn in midfield, watched the lead pair while going three deep along the backside, came under a ride chasing the pace on the last turn to be in the hunt three wide at the furlong marker but evened out slightly in the late stages to settle on the fringes. OUR FLAG FLYING set a pedestrian pace taking this field around the first of two turns, continued unchallenged down the backside, quickened in the third quarter split holding comfortably through the far turn, stubbornly dug in with rivals bearing down each side through the stretch and gave way in the final seventy yards losing a few positions late. FOXY DIVA co-trailed on the outside in the beginning, had no movement along the backside, travelled three to five wide on the far turn being roused but could not narrow the margin on the leaders and in the six path lacked a rally down the stretch. MAGIC TOKEN tracked three wide in the second flight, kept a close eye on the frontrunner between foes down the back straight, was roused for more but could not maintain forward position five sixteenths from the wire and emptied out three wide in upper stretch.
