Footnotes
YOUR VALENTINO moved forward to the lead shortly after the start, was clear after the opening quarter to dictate terms near the rail, came out a bit in the stretch when challenged, was under steady urging through the lane and held sway. TUTTI CONTENTI had the early lead but ceded it to the eventual winner to track that on in behind, saved some ground on the turn, swung out four wide coming into upper stretch, was put to stout urging, could make no headway on the winner, lugged out in the lane, was second best. AGILE DANCER settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn, swung eight wide into upper stretch, ran on willingly late to get up for show. SECRET STORM stalked in behind off the fence in the second flight, advanced between runners while shifting out four then five wide coming to the quarter pole, was up close at the top of the stretch but evened out. MONDAY MORNING broke outwardly, chased from outside a foe two to four wide, weakened. PET SOUNDS was in just a bit tight soon after the break, raced outside at the back going three wide on the turn, gained mildly in the lane inside runners. OK SPEEDY broke a step slowly, was bothered at the start and steadied early, settled at the back just off the inside, moved nearer the rail on the turn to save ground, failed to menace. GIL'S FOLLY advanced outside five to six wide reaching striking distance past the quarter pole but could not sustain the effort. IRISH DEPUTY broke a step slowly and awkwardly, shifted in leaving the backstretch, came back out later, was not a factor.
