Footnotes
CAUSIN' MAYHEM settled in midfield on the fence, closed the gap on the rail down the backside, shifted out four wide in upper stretch beginning to extend his stride, seized command under right-handed urging drifting in slightly at the furlong marker and drew away late for the win. LIL BIT GANGSTA settled in mid-division between horses, continued along the backside making little headway, commenced a run outside the eventual winner at the quarter pole, shifted to the five path turning for home, ran on sharply to the finish but was outkicked by the winner in the final furlong. SOONER LUNAR stumbled at the start, chased the pace just outside in the initial turn, took closer order to battle outside in the backstretch, bobbed heads outside fighting up front in the last bend, finally got the better of the inside speed rival to poke his head in front for just a brief moment with a sixteenth left to run but could not fend off the late charge by the winner and faded in deep stretch holding for third money. PALACE VIEW (IRE) was allowed to settle at the rear in the early stages, did not begin to offer a run until the quarter pole closing in, shifted out to be in the six path for the drive to the wire and found his best stride late, closing smartly in the final furlong to be a fringe player. WAR IN CHARGE was nestled on the rail watching the lead pair go at it down the backstretch, began to edge up when asked for more at the quarter pole, was gaining steadily in the three path with the winner bearing down outside in mid-stretch, lost his path plus momentum just leaving the eighth pole and could not recover late to threaten. PENNER ASH (IRE) stalked near the rear for most of the race, offered a brief run when skimming the fence at the top of the stretch to be in position for a minor share, shifted out off the tiring early leader down the lane stalled between horses with a sixteenth left to run. CATHOLIC JACKIE stalked three wide into the first turn, improved while travelling outside, four deep along the backside, tried to mount a rally but was going three to six wide around the last turn and had little to give in the stretch running outside. SPARKLET broke in at the start, was hustled getting to the rail setting the pace early on, had company to its outside down the backstretch, still had a slight advantage inside quickening the tempo through the far turn, fought on the fence still in the mix up top in mid-stretch but had little left in the later stages and folded with a sixteenth remaining. FROST BITTEN was in tight between rivals on the break, moved up quickly four wide to track the leaders outside into the first turn, settled outside in the second flight watching the lead duo down the back straight, backed away between foes when horses were commencing a rally midway on the final bend and emptied out in the two path down the lane.
