Footnotes
CLASSIC MO TOWN travelled inside in the middle of the pack, began to mount a rally inside at the half, closed in sharply with a quick turn of foot at the quarter pole taking aim on the leader by upper stretch, seized command coming up to the sixteenth pole wearing down the leader and was kept to the task to the finish line to just hold on from a fast closing rival outside when crossing the wire. WEBSLINGER was unhurried trailing the field around the first turn, galloped along contently still seeing horses heels along the backside, shifted out three wide between foes commencing a run turning for home, gobbled up ground with every stride down the lane and just missed with a powerful, strong late surge at the finish almost getting to the winner at the line. GET SMOKIN was hustled from the get go, angling to the rail taking a clear lead going into the first of two turns, continued on loose down the backstretch, easily disposed of a rival who made a brief bid outside at the three eighths pole, fought on clinging onto the lead inside in upper stretch, gave way to the winner with a sixteenth left to run and finished up with a solid effort holding for the show money in the end. DANCIN IN DA'NILE had a stalking trip three wide into the first turn, made no movement close to the back of the pack with a half mile to run, ranged up outside foes, four wide at the quarter pole and finished with good late energy between runners in the five path in the stretch running to be a fringe player at the wire. STANLEY HOUSE stumbled when appearing to clip another rivals heels into the first turn, settled on the outside in midfield along the backside, could not match strides with the eventual winner inside at the half, ran on mildly through the final bend making little impact and could not get into contention six wide when driving to the finish line. POSSIBLEMENTE was under a snug hold on the fence tracking the leader in the first turn, shifted just outside chasing the pace down the backstretch, moved in for a brief moment to pressure the leader at the three eighths pole outside, was quickly repelled, shifted out four wide at the top of the stretch, was no match for the front pair still trying in earnest to hold for a minor share in upper stretch but wilted by the furlong marker. COOL KISS travelled on the outside of a rival watching the front two runners in the beginning, kept pace along the backside, regressed in the two path between horses at the five sixteenths marker and had no finish to offer in the four path through the stretch running. DATAMAN was snatched up between rivals when the pacesetter angled in to the rail taking command going into the first turn, recovered to track the leader inside down the back straight, could not go when asked for more with the top two runners at the three furlong pole, had little left on the fence at the top of the lane and folded by mid-stretch.
