Footnotes
CONNOR veered in at the break, quickly was straightened out to track outside going around the first of two turns, moved in to prompt the pace outside at the half, dueled outside with three furlongs to go, fought on gamely between runners in the three path in upper stretch and prevailed in the stretch drive to edge away late for the win. COPPER GHOST broke a step slow at the start, tracked inside watching the contesting duo waiting for the cue at the half, shifted out three wide making a bid at the quarter pole, threw it down outside up front in the four path at the furlong marker but was outfinished late and settled on the runners up share in the end. WILLIAM T lagged behind the field in the early stages, started to get into gear when scrubbed on at the five sixteenths pole outside horses, angled out five wide turning for home and finished up willingly to get up outside to be a not threatening third crossing the finish line. GOTME GOOD assumed the lead under a good hold into the first turn, had pressure to his outside at the half mile marker, determinedly kept on taking the short way around the last turn clinging to the lead in upper stretch, had little left in the later stages and faded at the sixteenth pole, settling for a minor role. THOR'S CAUSE was brushed outside on the start, stalked outside near the rear in the early going, made no movement down the back straight, shifted to the three path between foes at the top of the lane and lacked a rally down the stretch. EMPOWER travelled on the rail in the third flight, made little progression along the backstretch, was roused for more at the five sixteenths pole, offered no response and wilted on the fence in upper stretch.
