NO TIME was hustled, clearing off up top getting to the rail around the first turn, dictated the pace unchallenged along the backside, continued up top with no pressure around on the last turn and was kept to the task while still quite in control down the lane, coasted home in the late stages. SMUDGE was unhurried at the back of the pack in the beginning, continued to see the field patiently galloping along down the backstretch, started to mount a rally three wide at the three furlong pole quickly circling rivals, posed the only threat outside, four wide at the top of the lane but could not get to the stablemate in the stretch running. MY GIRL DELLA was close to the back of the pack three wide on the initial bend, stalked outside in the third pairing down the back straight, moved closer three wide with three furlongs remaining, battled for a piece of the prize down the lane and got up in deep stretch for the show placing. A LITTLE FRISKY travelled in mid-pack on the first turn, made little progression down the backside, offered a mild run between foes midway on the last turn, shifted inwards, skimming the fence to be in the hunt turning for home, stalled by the furlong marker and was caught for the show money. PEACE POSEY broke out on the start, stalked near the rear on the rail, travelled inside in the third flight down the back straight, could not keep up to others who were making a move at the three eighths marker but did show some late interest to fight back and pass a couple of tiring foes down the lane. SALT tracked the loose leader outside, made little headway along the backside, chased the winner but to no avail at the quarter pole, dueled for the place share between foes in the three path turning for home but folded by the furlong marker. DOUBLE VELOCITY was brushed inside on the break, tracked the pacesetter on the inside in the early stages of the race, dropped back abruptly inside foes, had nothing left to offer around the far turn and emptied out in the stretch drive. RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #1 PEACE POSEY AGAINST #4 A LITTLE FRISKY AT THE THREE EIGHTHS POLE RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
