STRIKE A CHORD dictated the pace moving comfortably loose up top on the fence down the backside, rolled along through the bend with no challengers in sight, opened up when encouraged right-handed at the furlong pole and kept on going for the dominant front-end score. SECRET BUTTERFLY broke in at the start, was isolated in midfield ahead of a couple of rivals along the backside, was spurned on for more when an outside rival came alongside at the three eighths pole, shifted out at the quarter pole and with clear run between foes in the four path in the stretch drive, could not get to the winner who was long gone but did show grit late just winning the battle for the runners up share in the final few strides. APRIL DE VELP was jostled slightly between foes, being brushed on both sides leaving the gate, chased the frontrunning winner in vain around the turn, was no match for the leader who had it all her own way down the lane, fought on inside for the place share but gave way grudgingly late and settled for third money at the wire. MISS BOBBIT was unhurried, co-trailing on the inside with a half mile remaining, made little progression seeing the field while saving ground on the turn, finished with intent inside rivals down the lane and got up to win the nod for the minors at the finish line. ENGLISH BISCUIT broke out on the start, co-trailed on the outside at the half, made a brief move outside at the three eighths marker, was floated out to the four path at the quarter pole having run and while widest in the five path for the drive lacked a rally down the stretch. SILENT TRIBUTE had a tracking inside position down the backside, could not keep up to others making a move on the turn, regressing at the quarter pole and had no late energy to offer in the stretch running.
