WINTERBERRY was hustled to be loose on the lead entering the backstretch, rolled along up top quickening the tempo in the running around the turn, had company right on the outside when straightening out for the drive, switched leads at the furlong pole while encouraged right handed and found more to draw off late for the patient pacesetting score. NATA TROUBLE tracked the frontrunner outside down the backstretch, edged up on the bend to press the issue outside with two furlongs from home, was on even terms three wide outside the winner at the top of the lane, dug in determinedly in the stretch run but was just outkicked in the final furlong. SHIFTY was under a snug hold sitting on the fence behind the frontrunner in the early going, continued to wait on the rail through the turn watching the embattled pair at the quarter pole, shifted off the lead twosome to be clear, four wide turning for home but lacked a rally in the stretch and could not get to the top two finishers when crossing the wire. ARISTELLA was allowed to settle on the outside of a rival sharing the rear position down the back straight, was roused for more three furlongs out taking closer order three wide around the bend, shifted out five wide to be in the mix outside foes at the top of the lane but needed more late when stalling at the furlong pole to settle on the fringes. MISS PIERRE had an inside position, co-trailing on the rail along the backside, could not keep up to others through the running on the turn and could not get into contention when failing to fire in the stretch running.
