LIGHT THE LAMP patiently drafted behind the lead two rivals while on the rail, continued to bide his time on the fence waiting to move around the turn, scraped paint saving ground at the top of the lane and tenaciously grinded away through the lane to get up under urging in the last few jumps inside for the win. SILENT RESERVE was hustled on the rail to emerge from the group getting the lead outright leaving the half mile marker, opened up through the turn, drifted out slightly in the two path leaving the rail open turning for home, stayed on the left lead until late while clinging up front but could not fend off the inside winner late who had all the momentum. ARMSTRONG tracked outside in midfield along the backside, dropped back slightly on the turn between runners in the three path, angled out five wide with foes on both sides at the top of the stretch and with a good late charge, got up just before the wire to capture the show money. FOREST BUZZ had position on the rail in mid-pack, shifted out off the fence with a quarter mile from the finish to be in the mix for a share in the four path in upper stretch, evened out by the furlong marker and just lost the battle for third at the wire. FORESTER'S FORTUNE was at the rear going four deep along the backside, made little impact continuing a four wide journey around the oval, shifted out widest in the six path straightening out for home and finished up gradually to pass a couple of runners down the lane. COTTON prompted the pace on the outside in the beginning, chased the frontrunner travelling two to three wide around the bend, was no match for the top two rivals when asked for more at the top of the lane and wilted between foes in the two path in the final sixteenth of a mile. KINETIC STONE had a stalking role, ahead of one runner in the early going, kept pace with rivals while two wide throughout the turn and while still just off the fence in the drive to the wire lacked a rally inside horses in the stretch running.
