WAGSTAFF settled on the outside in midfield in the early stages, began to lengthen stride three furlongs from the prize, had a sharp turn of foot at the quarter pole outside to move in quickly dueling four wide at the top of the lane and won drawing off in the last sixteenth of a mile. PRIVATE LABEL forced the issue on the outside in the initial turn, took even closer order to bob heads up top still outside along the backstretch, edged clear from the early pace rival with a quarter mile to go, braced for the outside challenge by the winner in the three path between horses in upper stretch but gave way grudgingly in the last sixteenth while clearly besting the rest for the runners up share. RATINGS UPGRADE (IRE) was bumped inside on the start to trail in the early going, travelled outside in tandem at the rear into the backstretch, started to gain momentum on the final bend, had to be checked on the rail leaving the quarter pole, shifted three wide for the stretch drive and rallied smartly up the rail in the final furlong to nab the show money in deep stretch. SPRINGER dictated the pace on the rail into the first turn, opened up with another foe outside going head to head up front down the back straight, could not match strides with the other early speed factor by the quarter pole, faded on the fence in mid-stretch and drifted out under left handed urging to lose the nod in the late stages for third money giving way to the inside rival. ITS IN THE CARDS broke out on the break, smartly drafted on the fence behind the lead duo on the first turn, lost ground but still had a tracking position on the front pair down the backside, was asked three furlongs out to go after the leaders, offered little response through the far turn, drifted inwards to the rail under right handed encouragement at the quarter pole and wilted in the three path outside foes in the stretch running. NIKINZIE had a stalking trip on the rail ahead of only the poor starter in the early going, co-trailed on the inside down the backside, lost touch with the field while being eased at the three eighths pole, cantered across the finish line and walked off.
