TWISTING PISTONS was reined back to have an ideal spot, isolated behind the contesting pair in the early stages, rated kindly measuring the lead pair through the turn, pounced four wide in upper stretch to edge clear taking over control with an eighth left to run and was kept to the task late to hold sway at the finish line. CHERVONARUTA was under restraint close to the rear inside horses down the backstretch, started to reach for more ground on the fence by the three-furlong pole, lacked running room three wide in upper stretch, finally had clear run in the late stages and finished up smartly to get the runners up share in the final seventy yards. BUTTERFLY BILLIE was allowed to settle of the back of the pack down the backside, inched up between runners under a snug hold at the three furlong pole, was looking for a seam in the three path behind the lead trio at the top of the lane, shifted out to the five path getting clear run with three sixteenths to go, switched back to the incorrect lead while taking over the second position at the sixteenth pole and lost the duel for the place share late. ROCK HARD ROSE was content to track the pacesetter outside in the beginning, moved in closer to force the issue outside through the running around the oval, rallied three wide between horses in upper stretch, tried to dig in for more while clinging up top coming up to the furlong marker but evened out in deep stretch to garner a minor role in the end. DANCIN MARY MARIE was reluctant to load, had rivals on either side settling in mid-pack with a half mile to run, made little movement on the turn, angled to the four path in the stretch drive but lacked a rally down the lane. OUT OF POVERTY stalked outside near the back of the pack along the backside, travelled three wide on the outside into the turn, regressed to last in the four path by the three eighths marker, shifted out six wide straightening for home and passed the leg weary early leader outside in deep stretch. DOUBLE TAP was urged on the rail keeping inside position to assume command by the three quarters pole, maintained a slim advantage on the rail throughout the turn, tried to keep up in the lead pack inside foes in the two path turning for home, had little left for the drive and folded while shortening stride on the wrong lead in the final furlong.
