PRINCESS ANASTASIA had a slow start to begin to sit at the back under a snug hold, moved up smartly on the fence three furlongs from home, had a quick turn of foot to advance by the quarter pole still on the rail, shifted out three wide finding a seam in upper stretch and drove past on the outside at the sixteenth pole for the win. XARABELLA was squeezed on the break, recouped to battle outside down the backstretch for the top spot, edged away outside for the lead by the quarter pole, still was clinging onto the lead at the furlong pole by a slim margin with rivals on either side but was no match for the late charge by the winner in deep stretch. PRINCESS JADE dueled on the rail for the lead down the backside, began to give way up top midway on the turn, fought back stubbornly inside in mid-stretch still in the conversation for the win share at the furlong marker but just faded at the end to be a clear third at the wire. CLEARWATER BEACH settled on the rail in the third group midway through the backstretch, made a smart move on the rail gaining position at the three eighths pole, closed in further when roused inside at the quarter marker to be in with a chance shifting four wide in upper stretch, faded slightly with a furlong remaining but then did rebid late to get back up for a minor share at the wire. HIBISCUS was five deep on the outside in the third group down the back straight, made a good rally circling outside four wide from the three eighths pole to the quarter pole, angled out in the six path in the mix for a share turning for home but stalled at the furlong marker battling for a minor placing. ORION BEACH was away alertly having the lead on the start, dropped back to sit in midfield in the four path between rivals by the half, had to be throttled down lacking running room midway around the bend, angled out to the six path in upper stretch and showed good late energy closing down the lane while shifting inwards to the fence in the late stages of the race. TAP MY DESIRE broke inwards on the start, tracked the lead pair on the outside in the early stages, regressed between foes three wide at the three furlong pole while roused for more through the turn, shifted out five wide for the stretch run but could not get involved to the wire. SUNLIT travelled in the two path in mid-division with rivals on both sides down the back straight, was holding her own when scrubbed for more midway around the oval, shifted out to the three path turning for home but showed little down the lane. YORKTON ROSE settled in the three path between horses in midfield down the backside, was checked hard between foes in tight at the half, dropped back into the turn, could not recover through the bend and did not play a role in the two path the drive to the wire. FORE FIVE BUCKS was five deep on the outside near the rear, made a mild move getting a better forward position heading into the turn, took the short way around the bend but had no finish to offer in the stretch running inside rivals. ICE CREAM BOAT broke in at the start, had a good spot early on, sitting on the fence tracking the lead pair down the backside, chased the leaders on the turn, retreated between foes while under encouragement by the quarter pole and had no rally down the lane. MAGICCREST settled in midfield in the beginning, was hard held being shuffled back between runners midway along the backside, made little headway outside in the early part of the turn, got the rail with a quarter mile to go but had no finish on the fence through the stretch. RAGS TO DIAMONDS was away slowly to be at the back of the pack with a few others along the backside, made no progression in the two path early in the turn, shifted to the rail by the quarter pole but had nothing to give inside in the stretch drive.
