ASK IN MY NAME was unhurried on the back of the pack stalking on the inside, advanced smartly having a clear rail run throughout the turn, skimmed the fence to gain control when straightening out for the drive and pulled away with authority in the final furlong for the eye-catching win. LEGAL ATTACK (GB) settled on the rail in the second flight watching the leader, bobbled slightly on the fence when leaving the half mile marker on the rail, shifted to the outside at the three furlong pole starting to reach for more ground, began to pass rivals by the five sixteenths marker, angled five wide in the mix for a share at the top of the lane and had a good late run to best the rest behind the dominant winner. VALYRIAN SKY tracked the lone speed while going three deep on the outside down the back straight, closed the gap on the leader smartly outside on the turn, bid four wide in the thick of things in upper stretch, could not go with the winner who had another gear late and fought on late to win the battle outside for the show position. CLASSIC DANCER was on a mission early, loose up top setting a brisk pace while hampered by the wind along the backside, continued to roll along up front but by a diminishing margin with the running around the turn, was swarmed on both sides while three wide between horses flattening out on the lead at the top of the lane, fought inside for the show money late but had to settle on the fringes in the end. SEA SCOUT stalked inside down the backstretch, offered a mild run three wide between horses midway around the turn, angled out to the five path straightening out for the wire and could not get involved in the late stages of the race. MANNIX (IRE) had a stalking position on the outside in the early going, travelled three to five wide outside rivals making no headway around the oval, swung out widest in the seven path for the drive but could not play a role outside in the stretch running. HIGHLAND SOCIETY chased the lone frontrunner down the backside in the two path between horses, was roused for more with five sixteenths to go, offered little response, backed away by the quarter pole and emptied out on the fence in upper stretch.
