DOLCE FORTUNA set the pace while unopposed down the backside, comfortably set an even tempo up top rolling along through the turn, spurted away from the chasing runners by mid-stretch looking strong but was then all out in the final seventy yards to just hold off the late charge by the outside rival to win in a very tight photo at the finish line. SWEET PASSIONS was sandwiched at the start, trailed the field while allowed to gather herself down the backside, took the short way around the turn, started to pick up horses inside with a quarter mile to go, swung out to the three path gathering more momentum at the top of the lane and with a strong late charge just missed getting to the winner by a nostril at the wire. FOURFIFTYFOUR tracked inside keeping in touch with the leaders in the early going, followed the path of the winner inside taking closer order around the bend, kept on coming on the fence down the stretch, could not get to the front two at the wire but did finish up willingly to be a clear third in the end. BRENGUNGIRL was content to track the pacesetter outside down the back straight, chased the leader in the turn, narrowed the gap slightly by the quarter pole, was set down for more in the two path straightening for home but could only finish up evenly down the lane for a minor role. GENIUS OF LOVE broke out on the start, had inside position in midfield down the back straight, was reined back into the turn to shift out three wide with five sixteenths to go, made a brief move four wide at the quarter marker, continued to shift out to the six path for the drive to the wire but lacked a rally outside. ENCHANTED FOREST had a stalking role ahead of only the troubled starter in the early going, shifted out going four wide making little impression outside in the running around the bend, angled to the six path turning for home but could not be a factor in the stretch drive, lagging behind runners to the finish. PRIMA broke in at the start, travelled in midfield on the outside in the beginning, was roused midturn but could not get to the leaders while outside by the quarter pole and weakened in the five path between horses at the top of the stretch.
