Footnotes
SOUPER DIVA veered out on the break, under a hustling ride emerged from the pack outside to get to the front by the half, opened up from the early inside foe at the seven sixteenths pole, had company from another challenger outside with three eighths to go, dueled inside through the turn and determinedly found another gear late to edge away for the win on the inside at the finish line. TOAST THE GHOST was away alertly to have the lead on the start, pressed the pace inside down the backstretch, dropped back slightly on the fence keeping a close eye while isolated watching the contesting pair around the turn, shifted out three wide in upper stretch and finished strongly, closing in well in deep stretch to get up for the second money right on the finish line. SILVER IS BEST was bumped inside on the start to settle near the rear five deep in the early running, moved in quickly around horses by the half mile marker, forced the issue outside through the turn, continued to throw it down going head to head outside in the stretch drive, gave way to the winner inside at the sixteenth pole and just faded slightly more late to be caught at the wire for the runners up share. BIG BOLD AND FIRST was brushed inside on the break, watched the front two while between foes early on, travelled evenly around the oval making little progression on the leaders and finished up one paced to the wire to settle on the fringes. MAKER'S FLATTER broke out on the start, had a stalking position on the rail along the backside, could not keep up with the lead rivals through the turn and lacked a rally down the lane on the fence while not switching leads. OFFSHORE ACCOUNT had a slow start to see the field down the backside, made a brief move closing the gap smartly on runners around the bend but could not find more in the stretch drive to be a factor in the late running.RIDERS CLAIM OF #6 SILVER IS BEST AGAINST #5 SOUPER DIVA AT THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
