Footnotes
LOST STAR settled outside foes off the pace, willingly advanced four to five wide on the far turn, took command at the top of the stretch, drew clear under urging. NIGHT STRIKER quickly moved clear and shifted in, set the pace inside on or just off the rail, was no match for the winner, got the nod for place. PUNKIN BOY settled off the pace near the inside, advanced racing two to three wide between foes and exchanging minor contact midway on the far turn, fanned seven wide into upper stretch, ran on strongly but missed the nod for place. ARMINO tucked in saving ground both turns, had room at the rail if good enough but could only go evenly. CASTLE HARBOUR was taken back off the leading pair but racing up close in behind off the fence in the two to three path, failed to rally. MIAH SAID brushed with a foe and was in tight early, moved forward outside a bit keen in the early going pressing or stalking the leader three to four wide, floated six wide into upper stretch, weakened. ONE SMOOTH STONE was lightly brushed after the start, raced outside a foe two to three wide, chased into the far turn, was put to urging on that bend, exchanged a light bump nearing the five-sixteenths and dropped back soon after, had no late response. DARK THOUGHTS dwelt at the start spotting the field approximately fifteen or so lengths, was never a factor. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE START NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
