SPRUNG LOOSE rated kindly while three deep isolated down the backside watching the front trio, ranged up smartly three wide circling horses on the turn, loomed boldly in the five path straightening out for the drive, seized the lead while on the wrong lead at the furlong marker and continued to edge away at the wire for the win. JUST JACOBO tracked the frontrunner on the outside in the beginning, was scrubbed on for more, trying to close on the pacesetter between rivals in midturn, shifted to the four path in the hunt between horses turning for home, kept on closing gradually down the lane, lost its path when the seam closed up inside the furlong pole, shifted to the rail late and surged in deep stretch to be second best. PIN BOY was roused on the start to have control unchallenged down the back straight, set an even pace, comfortably in command around the bend, was clinging onto the lead in the two path with the winner bearing down outside in upper stretch, drifted out under left-handed encouragement at the eighth pole and faded in deep stretch to save for the show money. TEAFORTHETILLERMAN co-trailed on the inside down the backstretch, closed the gap on the pacesetter into the turn, took the shortest way around the turn but made little progression and finished up mild yon the fence to the wire. SILENT KNIGHT co-trailed on the outside in the beginning, moved in to narrow the gap on the field at the three-furlong pole, could not continue the run, regressing around the bend and managed to pass only a weary foe in mid-stretch outside. EARNING MY EARS drafted behind the frontrunner on the fence down the backside under a hard hold, was roused three eighths from the wire but could not keep up with the outside flow through the turn, tried to fight back briefly while skimming the rail at the top of the lane but faltered inside rivals at the furlong pole.
