Footnotes
EVER DANGEROUS was pushed in after the break to track the pacesetter on the fence in the early stages, started to reel in the frontrunner around the final bend, pounced three wide at the top of the lane and pulled away confidently down the stretch for the win. TIZ ROMANTIC tracked three wide on the first of two turns, travelled three deep on the outside, galloping along in the third flight down the backside, shifted four wide outside horses while getting into gear at the quarter pole, angled to the six path fir the stretch run and closed in belatedly for second money outside foes at the finish line. BLAST IN THE SNOW stalked three wide on the first turn, settled in the third flight between foes down the back straight, started to lengthen stride when scrubbed for more three wide inside on the far turn and in the three path just missed inside horses for the runners up share at the wire. COOLCOLLECTED co-trailed on the outside down the backstretch, started to mount a rally two wide on the outside with three eighths from the prize, looked for a seam in the three path entering the stretch, had to be throttled down stuck behind rivals losing momentum at the furlong pole, had a clear lane inside with a sixteenth to go and tried to re-rally but was on the losing end of the three way photo for the place share at the finish line. MASON'S GAMBLE broke in at the start, sat all alone under a snug hold in midfield down the backside, advanced sharply on the far turn, slipping up the fence to be in the hunt on the rail in upper stretch, had to be checked in tight at the furlong pole and could not recover late to be involved at the wire. MAD DOG N JOE was forced in on the start, hustled early on taking command on the rail into the first turn, opened up by a good margin down the backside but was slowing the pace down, still maintained the lead but by a diminishing margin through the final turn, was collared between rivals in the two path in upper stretch and wilted inside foes in the last sixteenth on the rail. RAFAROO had a tracking role on the outside in the second flight content to watch the loose speed in the early stages, was roused three wide between horses through the turn but offered little response and came up empty for the drive in the four path turning for home. JAMIESTA was checked on the rail while going across the finish line for the first time on the rail, co-trailed on the inside along the backside, saved ground making no movement on the final bend, had to be checked again on the fence at the eighth pole and could not recover to factor late.
