Footnotes
LOGISTICS brushed lightly at the start, steadied slightly on the heels of the leader early on the first turn, settled in behind stalking, waited patiently past the quarter pole without much room, came out a bit for the drive, split rivals at the furlong marker, moved clear while drifting out a bit, prevailed. PURRFECT GIRL settled at the rear, moved out and advanced four wide on the far turn with some encouragement at the three-eighths, came into upper stretch five deep, made a mild bid near the furlong grounds, was no match for the winner but kept on to secure the place. MRS. HOT SHOT broke outwardly, was positioned near mid-pack three to four wide, came into upper stretch four deep, was carried out a bit past the furlong marker, needed more late. POETIC AMY settled inside saving ground, was encouraged a bit past the five-sixteenths, angled out at the top of the stretch then further in upper stretch now six to seven wide with aim, continued to gain steadily but too late, missed show. PICKFORD SWEET brushed lightly with a foe at the start, stalked mid-pack two to three wide, was encouraged about the five-sixteenths, fanned out into upper stretch, was seven to eight deep and in range but lacking the needed late kick. ZIPFIRE stalked from outside two to three wide early, shifted nearer the rail for the far turn, faded in the stretch. SERENADING AMAYA lacked early speed and was not a factor. MISS SAUGERTIES moved clear setting the pace under a hold while racing a bit keenly, began weakening on the far turn and gave way in the stretch. FOLLOWING AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER AND TRAINER OF MRS. HOT SHOT AGAINST LOGISTICS ALLEGING INTERFERENCE NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
