Footnotes
STORMY OCEAN had the lead on the fence setting a soft opening quarter, rated kindly up top dictating terms inside down the backstretch, opened up slightly on the turn, was well rationed around the far turn to have another gear to spurt clear in upper stretch and won comfortably at the finish line. MAKAYLA tracked in the three path between runners in the beginning, sat in midfield isolated down the backside, had a quick turn of foot when rallying three wide at the three furlong marker, bid for the when urged right handed with a quarter mile to go, could not match strides with the winner turning for home but did fight on to save the place share at the finish line. SPIRIT O'TIPPERARY settled near the rear three wide outside on the first turn, could see field down the backside, began to pick up the bit two wide on the outside passing a rival at the quarter pole, angled out widest in the five path at the top of the lane and was gaining steadily late but just missed for the runners up share at the wire. POWAQA travelled four wide tracking outside on the first of two turns, moved in to shadow on the outside down the back straight, was hard ridden at the five sixteenths pole while giving way to rivals but did find some energy late to hold off the inside foe in deep stretch for a minor role. INITTOWINIT was unhurried trailing on the fence in the early stages, had a stalking role ahead of only one runner along the backside, kept pace while taking the short way around the final turn, skimmed the fence turning for home but lacked a rally down the lane.
