THAT GIRL ARTEMUS patiently settled into stride seeing the field down the backstretch, still lagged behind while saving ground around the turn, commenced a good rally on the fence reaching for more ground with three sixteenths from home and burst inside rivals in the final seventy yards in a well timed late charge to get up in the final strides for the win. ONDINE LADY was checked midway down the backside while tracking in the two path outside another foe, moved in closer to hound the pace three wide around the turn, shifted to the five path making her presence felt in upper stretch and rallied smartly in deep stretch but could not go with the surging winner just before the wire. SARAH'S DANCER stalked inside after the break, made no movement through the turn, angled four wide at the top of the stretch, shifted out further getting a clear run in the six path with a furlong remaining and had a good late burst to get the nod for the show money at the finish line. CINNAMON BITS had slim advantage on the rail in the early stages of the race, shifted just off the fence clinging to the lead in mid-stretch, tried to battle on with runners from every direction closing in late and faded slightly in the final seventy yards for a minor role while still not beaten that much for the win. GRACE ON THE GREEN had a rail position in the second tier down the back straight, waited patiently for running room behind the lead trio midway around the bend, found a seam three wide in upper stretch, moved in to be in the thick of things by the sixteenth pole but needed more late to be a factor at the wire. LOOKS LUCKY TO ME had an outside stalking role down the backside, travelled three wide on the turn making little headway, swung out widest to the six path for the stretch drive and was gaining gradually late but could not get into contention at the finish line. VICTORIA ELIZABETH prompted the pace on the outside in the early going, edged up to vie between horses up front through the running around the oval, angled to the four path in the hunt between rivals in upper stretch but had little left in the late stages and wilted with runners on both sides in the last sixteenth of a mile.
