Footnotes
SO CALLED VACATION had a slim lead on the inside on the first turn, continued up top while hounded outside down the backside, still had control in the two path but by a narrow margin from the pesky outside rival who would not give way throughout, drifted out at the sixteenth pole under left handed encouragement and edged away for the win in deep stretch. AUDAX MINOR prompted the pace on the outside in the first bend, still pressed the frontrunner outside down the back straight, may have poked his head in front for a brief stint at the quarter pole and chased in vain outside while being pushed out by the winner in the final sixteenth. ARRAKASTA IZAN had rail position close to the back of the pack, edged up on the fence by the half, made a smart rally gaining on the inside through the far turn, shifted off the front pair up top to be four wide at the furlong marker but evened out late to be anon threaten third at the wire. BLONDINA'S BOY was in a good spot under a snug hold on the fence watching the contesting pair, was asked for more to go after the lead duo midway on the final bend, shifted out three wide at the quarter pole to be in the thick of things four wide in upper stretch, could not go with the front two by the furlong pole, dueled for the show award late but switched back to the incorrect lead with a sixteenth to go and had to settle on the fringes in the end. CALLING HOME was off a step slow on the start, stalked between foes in the first turn, closed the gap along the backside, made little impact around the last turn, angled five wide straightening out for the drive but lacked a rally down the stretch. AIM DON'T MISS had rivals on either side in mid- pack early on, made little progression along the backside, was going in the wrong direction three wide surrounded by rivals at the quarter pole and could not factor just off the fence in the drive to the finish line. BOURBONONAHOLIDAY was near the rear going outside, four wide on the first of two turns, retreated midway down the backside seeing the other rivals at the half, shifted out trying to make a run four wide with five sixteenths to go but could not get involved in the three path down the stretch. KING PUTT settled in mid-division on the rail in the early parts of the race, made a brief move four wide at the five sixteenths pole to get into contention through the far turn, drifted out six wide for the drive to the wire but had no finish to offer down the lane. COPROLITE dwelt, trailing by many at the start and could not recover through the race to play a role in the stretch running. STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING #1 COPROLITE....WAS DEEMED TO HAVE RECIEVED A FAIR START AND RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #9 AUDAX MINOR AGAINST #6 SO CALLED VACATION DOWN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
