PAGEANT QUEEN battled outside, three deep for the lead at the start, was nudged along to clear to the fence up top by the half, was collared outside at the quarter pole relinquishing the lead for a stride or two, rebid in the two path in upper stretch and pulled away by the furlong marker to hold safely for the win at the finish line. MISS MAXINE was hard held between horses in the early going vying up top, opted on letting the outside runner get a clear lead with a half mile to go, tracked on the fence in the second flight waiting for the cue to move through the turn, angled out four wide for the stretch drive and tried to close on the winner but could not get there in time while comfortably besting the rest at the wire for the runners up share. SOUPER SPORTY broke a step slow to be at the rear on the rail in the beginning, shifted out to the two path shortly after, making a quick move into contention by the half, moved in outside around the bend, brief poked its head in front leaving the quarter pole, shifted to the three path dueling up top in upper stretch but faded between rivals in the late running to just miss out holding on for the place share. CLASSIC DISCOVERY was void of early speed to trail the field down the back straight, rallied inside horses at the three furlong marker with a sharp turn of foot, skimmed the fence turning for home and finished up with good energy but was on the losing end of the three way photo for place. WOLFBERRY was antsy in stall before the break, settled between runners in the three path in the early going, improved position going into the bend to sit in a good spot outside watching the engaged duo through the turn, shifted out five wide in the mix for a share at the top of the lane but could only finish up evenly to the wire. NAZE had a stalking role outside while going four deep down the backstretch, made no progression travelling three wide outside foes around the bend and could not find more in the stretch while in the two path trying to get into contention in the late stages of the race. MATHEMATICAL broke sharp, then, was in tight on the fence under steady restraint down the backstretch to be in midfield inside by the half, was at the back group between foes through the turn and could not offer a finish on the fence in the stretch running.
