STERLING HEIGHTS was in a bit tight on heels up the backstretch, switched out at that point, stalked mid-division, waited briefly past the five-sixteenths, came out five wide in upper stretch, bid near the eighth pole, took command and kept on to hold. GATHER unhurriedly brought up the rear, swung eight to nine wide into upper stretch under urging, gained steadily but missed while clearly second best. WORLD SHOWCASE was quick to take the lead, set the pace in the clear from off the rail, asked for run coming to the top of the stretch, had no extra late. KID GIZMO stalked outside just off the leader, went three to four wide through the turn, came wider for the stretch run, needed more. MAGIC TOKEN settled toward the rear outside a rival, swung out ten wide in upper stretch, kicked on mildly but too late. HELANA settled near mid-pack off the inside, came into upper stretch five wide, ran on evenly. MITOLE POWER broke just a tad awkwardly but had good forward position, chased inside just off the rail, failed to rally. LEGS LIKE FLATTER chased from outside mid-pack two to three wide through the turn, swung eight deep for the drive, faded. MOET MONET was bumped lightly and in tight at the start, steadied on heels inside near the five-eighths, failed to menace.
