Footnotes
TWOWAYCROSSING had a good trip rating kindly on the outside in the second flight, inched up on the contesting pair up front down the backside, started to uncork his rally midway on the final bend, shifted out four wide gaining steadily on the embattled duo down the lane and under a well timed move got up just before the finish for the win. JOURNEYMAN tracked outside on the first turn, moved in to prompt the issue outside with five furlongs from home, battled tenaciously outside around the far turn, doggedly kept on coming while between foes in the three path down the entire stretch and held for the place share in a photo at the wire. JIM'S HOPE was in the middle of the pack while travelling on the fence for the first half of the route race, shifted out at the five sixteenths pole starting to reach for more ground, swung out widest in the five path in the stretch drive and was closing fast in deep stretch, could not get to the winner late and almost nabbed second money right at the finish line. SOULMATE broke in at the start, assumed control getting loose on the rail on the first of two turns, had company to his outside at the five eighths marker, these two dueled head-to-head around the far turn, shifted just off the fence in upper stretch finding a little bit more to edge away for moment from the pesky early speed foe at the furlong marker but could not continue to the wire and tired in the last seventy yards for a minor placing. EXUDE was in tight clipping the outside runners heels on the break,, co-trailed inside throughout and showed some late interest between horses down the lane to get the better of the two others rivals that were in the back trio right at the wire. CORNWALL was unhurried to share the rear spot on the inside in the early stages, made little rally outside on the final bend and finished up mildly three wide outside horses while fighting for the final position down the lane. GOOD SIN had an inside tracking spot nestled on the rail, settled in the second flight on the fence along the backside, was hard ridden at the five sixteenths pole but could not quicken with the outside runner who was the eventual winner through the turn and faltered inside a pair of rivals deep stretch. STEWARDS INQUIRY AND RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #5 EXUDE AGAINST #6 SOULMATE ON THE START RESULTED IN #6 SOULMATE BE DISQUAILFIED AND PLACED FIFTH FOR INTERFERENCE
