ENGLISH ACTOR was allowed to travel five wide heading into the first turn, measured the leader while three deep into the backstretch closing in by the half, crept closer still three wide outside foes in the last bend, posed the main threat between rivals turning for home and grinded away under a left-handed crop to edge clear foe the win in deep stretch. HIGHLY POTENT co-trailed on the inside in the early stages, started to rally on the fence kicking away from a runner at the three eighths pole, shifted outside gathering speed midway on the final turn, angled to the five-path finding his best stride down the lane and closed in smartly to just nab the runners up share at the finish line. RIDEAU HALL flanked the frontrunner on the outside into the first bend, continued outside prompting the pace down the back straight, seized command with three furlongs to go in the two path, was collared outside by the winner in upper stretch, retaliated until the furlong pole but weakened inside late and gave way in deep stretch to just miss saving for the place share at the wire. SWIFTLET was nestled on the fence behind the early leader, settled in midfield inside the eventual winner at the half, edged up in the two path between foes with five sixteenths from home, shifted out four wide in the mix between rivals at the top of the lane but evened out in the final furlong to settle on the fringes in the end. NYCELY had the lead on the fence taking advantage of the inside position into the first turn, had a slim lead slowing the tempo down while hounded outside down the backside, gave way on the fence up top at the three eighths pole, was checked while regressing inside midway around the last bend and emptied out turning for home. ARTIFRAC broke a touch slow between foes on the start, was checked slightly going into the first turn while outside another in the back pair into the first turn, co-trailed on the outside along the backstretch, could not keep up to rivals at the three furlong marker and had nothing to give in the stretch running.
