FANORE (IRE) was brushed outside on the start, watched the lead three runners outside in the early stages of the race, followed the path of fast closing rival moving in sharply through the far turn, angled out three wide to bid up front at the top of the lane and determinedly won the battle down the entire stretch when inching away in the final seventy yards. MISTER HOLDEN had a good trip sitting on the rail while watching the front duo slug it out in the early stages, moved to the lead easily with the leader softened up by the quarter pole, dueled inside in the two path at the top of the stretch, gamely fought on to the wire but was just outkicked late for the win. HEARD A GHOST had rail position near the back of the pack, made a good middle move splitting rivals at the half, had to be throttled down stuck behind a stopping runner at the three furlong pole, re-rallied at the quarter marker to be in the mix four wide turning for home, could not get to the front pair who had it to themselves in deep stretch but did finish up strong enough to be a clear third at the wire. RED SNEAKERS had an awkward start to stalk near the rear on the rail, improved smartly on the fence along the backside, was stymied on the rail behind a stopping rival at the quarter pole with runners moving outside in full flight, shifted out three wide having clear run at the furlong marker and got back into gear late to settle on the fringes. UNDER SURVEILLANCE had a stalking role three wide on the initial bend, was part of the cluster of runners tracking the contesting duo at the half while five deep on the outside, continued to be five wide trying to circle around horses in the far turn, shifted out in the six path for the stretch run and still finished up mildly in deep stretch while dueling for a minor placing. LEOPARDI broke in at the start, stalked at the back going four wide around the first turn, trailed the field at the half, made no impression still at the tail on the far turn, shifted out four wide picking up the bit down the lane but still only managed to pass the stopping early leaders who dueled themselves into submission down the backstretch having nothing left. SILVER SMOKE was loose up top going into the first turn, had company outside separating from the field down the backstretch under a brisk pace, edged away from the early speed foe by the midpoint of the far turn, was under a drive but relinquished the lead on the fence with a quarter mile remaining and folded on the rail in the final furlong. FOUR K FORCE pressed the pace inside at the beginning, shifted outside letting the leader get away slightly on the first turn, moved in outside to battle for the lead down the back straight opening up on others, had little left to offer with three eighths still to run, backed through the field between horses around the final bend and was empty inside down the lane.
