BOTTA SWING appeared to brush a rival ever so lightly after the start, stalked from outside, advanced willingly four to five wide on the turn, drew up to the leaders flank near mid-stretch, made a steady bid finally wresting control near the seventy yard marker and edged away late under steady handling. BACKROADSBILLY had the lead for the opening furlong under moderate encouragement, was overtaken by an inside foe, re-engaged that one to duel into and on the turn, put that rival away in upper- to mid-stretch while coming out four to five wide but was then joined by the aforementioned winner outside, fought on for a while then yielded grudgingly. BLAZING BUCCHERO settled at the back off the inside racing three to four deep into and on the turn, came out six wide in upper stretch, rallied solidly while altering inwards in late stretch but ultimately needed more. SO DELICIOUS stalked the dueling pair three to four wide, was encouraged along past the three-eighths, shifted in past the five-sixteenths cutting the corner into upper stretch before being guided back out a bit, ran on evenly. KOKOMO bumped with a rival at the start, was urged forward taking a narrow lead after the opening furlong, dueled inside a foe, gave way in the stretch. WAR OF DESTINY bumped with a rival at the start, raced off the pace inside and was never near enough to threaten.
