GIANT TEDDY was quick to take the lead, set the pace from off the rail shadowed by a rival into the turn, kicked clear turning into upper stretch, was encouraged along at that juncture then put to strong urging nearing the furlong grounds, had enough in reserve to hold well despite shortening stride late. HANLAN was lightly bumped after the start, pursued from between runners early then was in a bit tight and altered outside a rival leaving the backstretch, went mostly four wide on the turn chasing outside, came out a bit turning for home, gained steadily under urging to get the place but could not reel in the winner. PINE KNOLL tracked from inside in behind the leaders, saved ground, kept on inside but was outfinished for place. SPLIT STRIKE had incidental contact just after the start, settled off the pace and off the inside going in the four to five path into the turn, came six wide into upper stretch, was best of the rest. HIGHLAND LIFE bumped a rival lightly after the start, moved forward early to reach the flank of the eventual winner shifting in to press that one three wide into the turn, came out a bit leaving that bend, weakened in the lane. JUSTINTIMEFORWINE stumbled at the start, settled off the pace, came out seven wide for the drive, failed to menace. CANYOUHEARMERUNNIN chased from between runners, shuffled back slightly past the half, ran on but was unable to threaten. SILENT MIRACLE lacked early speed despite some encouragement, came out eight wide for the stretch, was not a factor.
