LAUGHING OUT LOUD was under a snug hold going five wide outside foes on the first bend, improved position to sit in mid-pack three deep outside down the backstraight moving well in hand, began to move in when nudged for more at the five sixteenths pole, loomed the main threat four wide in upper stretch and edged clear for the win in the last sixteenth. GREAT KATE assumed command setting a soft pace into the first oval, maintained a slim lead while hounded outside along the backstretch, was still in the mix just behind the new leader while inside rivals turning for home, stubbornly fought back to regain the lead through the stretch but was no match for the winner in the final sixteenth of a mile. DADDY'S DAISY co-trailed on the outside to begin, stalked still close to the back going three deep outside rivals down the backstretch, ranged up three wide midpoint on the far bend, shifted just out further in the four path for the stretch drive reaching for more ground and finished up willingly in deep stretch to just miss getting the place share at the wire. MAKAYLA tracked the pacesetter outside in the early going, took closer order to shadow the frontrunner outside down the backstretch, moved in to bid for the lead at the quarter pole, briefly had her head in front in the three path straightening out for home, could not accelerate with the two rivals on either side with a furlong left to run and faded slightly more in the late running to settle on the fringes in the end. GHOSTLY PERFECTION co-trailed on the inside in the early going, could see the field down the back straight, made little impression when scrubbed for more shifting out three wide at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the six path turning for home and did show some interest late to pass a couple of tired foes in the final sixteenth of a mile. KEY STROKE stalked close to the back in the three path between horses in the beginning, made no progression down the backside, was under a ride making little headway midway on the final turn inside runners and had no finish to offer just off the fence in the stretch running. CARDIO PRINCESS (JPN) had good rail position drafting behind the pacesetter into the first of two turns, continued to sit behind the leaders on the fence waiting for the cue to go along the backside, was finally roused for more at the five sixteenths pole, offered little response around the last bend, emptied out on the rail in upper stretch and was not persevered with late.
