PERFECT SPARKLE pressed the pace outside along the back straight, moved in to bid outside with two furlongs from the line, poked her head in front straightening out for the drive, battled outside determinedly through the lane and inched away for the win in the final seventy yards. NAKEDINTHEFOREST was away alertly for the lead on the break, remained up front inside by a narrow margin with a quarter mile to go, relinquished the lead inside turning for home, fought on bobbing heads to the wire and just missed inside the winner at the finish line. TOAST THE GHOST had an ideal spot isolated watching the embattled duo down the backside, waited to move behind the contesting twosome on the fence around the bend, shifted out by the quarter pole, took aim in the four path at the top of the lane but could only finish up mildly to be a non-threatening third at the finish line. SANS DANCER hopped on the break, had a stalking role ahead of another poor starter down the backside, closed the gap on the leaders around the bend, had a chance for a piece of the prize just off the rail into the stretch and dug in down the stretch on the rail late to save for a minor placing at the finish line. JAPONKA broke outwards on the start, improved on the inside to sit in mid-pack on the fence by half, was scrubbed on at the five sixteenths pole making no progression saving the ground through the turn, dropped back on the fence in upper stretch, switched outside at the furlong marker and had a late run between horses dueling for the minors in the end. I THINK I CAN (IRE) tracked the front pair outside down the back straight, took closer order picking up the bit two wide outside a rival midway on the turn, was fanned out to the five path at the top of the stretch and could not offer a finish outside rivals in the late running. WUNHAPPY WABBIT broke a touch slow on the start, trailed along the backside, lagged behind through the turn, made a brief move closing the gap smartly by the quarter pole, angled out six wide for the drive, could not sustain the run and stalled outside by the furlong marker.
