Footnotes
IRON PYRITE shifted out getting off the fence to be three wide going around the first turn, sat in mid-pack tucked in on the fence watching the engaged threesome at the half, made a quick move darting up the rail at the quarter pole, angled just outside off the leader gathering speed at the top of the lane and determinedly wore down a stubborn pacesetter in the final sixteenth for the win. I'M TENACIOUS assumed the lead on the rail in the early going, had company to her outside into the backstretch, relinquished the lead at the half for a moment, came back on the edge away up front again from the early speed foes by the five sixteenths marker, gamely tried to dig in finding something in reserve to repel the outside challenge by the winner in deep stretch but could not fend off the winner late and settled for asecond money in the end. I HAVE AN IDEA was pushed out from the inside rival on the first of two turns, had a stalking trip ahead of a couple on horses along the backside, closed the gap smartly between foes midway on the last turn and burst through a seam in the three path down the stretch to capture the show award in the late running. MAGIC TOKEN was unhurried at the rear in the beginning, made no movement co-trailing inside at the half, was roused on the far turn making little impression on the outside, shifted out to the four path at the top of the lane and finished with interest between horses dueling for a minor role at the wire. CANDID CANDACE was steadied trying to avoid inside trouble on the first turn, ranged up four deep down the backstretch to watch the lead trio at the half, kept pace with others moving three wide at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out to the six path having clear run in upper stretch and with good late energy closed in late to get up for a minor share at the wire outside horses. FOREST VIXEN was checked mildly on the fence entering the initial bend, co-trailed on the inside halfway down the backstretch, could see the field around the last turn, rallied up the fence in upper stretch to bid inside for the show money with a sixteenth from home but flattened out inside foes losing a couple of positions late. VICTORIA ELIZABETH had a tracking role three wide on the first turn watching the two rivals, moved in to vie between horses up top along the backside, chased the leader in vain around the final bend, was in the thick of things four wide in upper stretch but wilted with runners on either side by the sixteenth pole. TATOOSONMYSOUL was forced out six wide into the first turn, continued to travel forwardly outside foes pulling the rider three deep to press the issue by the half, came under a ride under trying to match strides with the front duo through the far bend and folded five wide by mid-stretch.
